Mission Statement:

"To create a safe and welcoming employment environment for persons of all abilities while simultaneously operating a cat shelter in a Book Nook type space. The shelter space will have the mission to house, rehabilitate and 'adopt out' unhoused cats. By employing persons of all abilities, Autistic Cat will help develop work and life skills within the transitional time of moving from teen to adulthood."

We are in the Development Stages of the Nonprofit. If you are interested in being on the Board of Directors or have advice you'd like to share, please send us an email at info@autisticcat.org.

About the Founder

Mary is the "See a Need, Fill a Need" poster woman. While she is raising her four children, three of whom are on the Autism Spectrum, she has noticed a gap in the transitional period of growing from teen to young adult. This lack of local resources is where the Autistic Cat has grown from. Mary wants to create an opportunity for teens and adults to earn a sense of self-worth by gaining needed life skills in a controlled work environment while also serving our cat rescue community.

Mary has
